The famous translator and preacher Mészáros Gergely opened the Jesuit school in 1593. The building was constructed in neoclassic and reconstructed later in eclectic style. The actual address is on the 32 Baróti Szabó Dávid Street, the school being named after the famous Transylvanian writer Tamási Àron.
